Why Royal Vegas Casino teamed up with Playtech

On October 27, 2021, the software studio Playtech announced that it will collaborate with the Online Casino Games to offer games of chance in the new New Zealand online casino market. That market is currently in full swing, because the Gambling Authority is gZodiacing new casino licenses for the first time in decades.

The first ten companies, including Royal Vegas Casino, can now legally online slots , table games, sports betting and live games of chance to New Zealanders.

Royal Vegas Casino

Playtech is a major developer of slot machines, digital games of chance and casino software, and one of the most progressive players in this highly competitive market. The company has produced thousands of games of chance online casinos from different countries for money can be played.

Royal Vegas Casino was for decades the only legal provider of games of chance in New Zealand. The company has fourteen branches spread across the country, and has launched a brand new online casino after the issuance of the new licenses.

An exciting extension of an old collaboration

The cooperation between the game developer and the casino chain does not come out of thin air. Many of the more than 6,000 different slot machines in the arcades of Royal Vegas Casino come from Playtech. In recent months, the software company has set up a fresh IMS platform to run its digital games on Royal Vegas Casino's new website.

The brand new range includes not only online slots but also sports betting, poker, bingo and so-called live casino games. Royal Vegas Casino CEO Erwin van Lambaart said: "Playtech has unrivalled technology to deliver casino games across multiple channels.

In addition, the company has very valuable experience in providing industry-leading casino software to newly regulated casino markets. Through our partnership with Playtech, we can create an engaging and enjoyable experience in our New Zealand online casino while ensuring the safety of our players.’

For its part, Playtech is pleased that it has won the competitive battle with other providers, and that it is now allowed to deliver exclusive casino games to Royal Vegas Casino. Mor Weizer, the CEO of the software studio, says: "We are delighted to enter into this new, strategic partnership. The key to Playtech's success is our ability to partner with major entertainment companies to tap into young and promising markets. We look forward to building a multi-channel casino offering with a strong market position together with Royal Vegas Casino.’

Brand new studio for live games of chance in Scheveningen

The partnership between Playtech and Royal Vegas Casino does not stop with the purchase of online slots. The contract between the parties stipulates the intention to build a new studio for live casino games in Scheveningen. Live casino games, an absolute hit of recent years, are games of chance that are streamed online and in which players can participate at home, through the casino's website.

In the new studio in Scheveningen, right next to the long-existing Royal Vegas Casino branch in the port city, these live games will be filmed and broadcast live. Playtech already provides the casino chain with live variants of roulette, blackjack and baccarat, and several titles are expected to be added to that offering in the coming years.

Playtech has extensive experience in filming and streaming this popular category of games of chance. The software company itself owns a large studio for this purpose in Riga, and has previously set up Studios specifically for live games in the United States and in Switzerland. That know-how is probably a major reason why Royal Vegas Casino outsourced the development of its online offering to Playtech.
