    This is an outdoors activity and weather is often changeable. The tour is viable for most weather conditions.Just bring your keen sense of adventure and enjoy NZ’s wonderful natural environment!
  • A fully guided walk on an ecology trail will give you the opportunity to view the NZ native and endemic wildlife which have been successfully reintroduced to this safe haven.  Also enjoy the beautiful New Zealand bush and amazing views.

    Or simply relax and take it easy; enjoy the stunning views of the Gulf and islands, stroll along the pristine white sandy beaches, take a swim in the crystal clear waters of the Tawharanui marine reserve; you may be lucky and see dolphins or orca passing through.
    Tawharanui Regional Park is rich in birdlife with some of the best opportunities on the mainland to see Brown Teal, Dotterel, Kaka, Saddleback, Bellbird, Tui, Kereru, plus much more.  The numbers of sightings vary with seasons, weather and the whims of the birds; what we can say is that every visit is different and has its surprises.
